Children´s area in library at Solna Centrum.
A room for workshops, lectures, reading, playing or relaxing.
The area is divided in three zones: the lounge in the entrance with the small shop of children´s book and games. Further into the room a flexible area with light weight tables for workshops and a scene which can easily be remade to a large sofa.
In the back of the room is an S-shaped sculpture containing functions for reading, relaxing, climbing and playing. The back wall of the room is covered with wool felt and works as a notice board showing new creations made in the workshops.
The felt curtains, upholstered surfaces and furniture together with the linoleum floor are all chosen to give the area an optional acoustic.
